Files in this subseries document subjects such as Cohen's environmental record, the efforts made in the early 1990s to elevate the Environmental Protection Agency to Cabinet status, and the UN Conference on the Environment and Development (UNCED) which took place in Brazil in 1992. There are also hearing records on the use of organotin-bearing paint on boats, requests to the Senate Appropriations Committee for funding for various environmental projects, and files on Maine weather service stations.
