Creating Effective Research Posters

March 11, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Presenting your research is a vital part of any research program, yet the what’s and how’s of presentation can be tricky to navigate. In this workshop, you will learn some tips and tricks for effectively presenting your research via a poster. Using the poster template provided by CUGR (UMaine’s Center for Undergraduate Research), the workshop will cover the basics of both poster design, content, and how to best present your work to thoroughly impress the judges.

If you would like to volunteer to have your poster discussed on the day please send a copy to danielle.l.levesque@maine.edu.

Space is limited. First come, first served. This workshop will also be offered via Zoom.

About the presenter
Dr. Danielle Levesque is an Assistant Professor in the School of Biology and Ecology. Her research focuses on the energetics of mammals in a changing world. She has presented (and judged) posters at numerous national and international conferences.
