Level 1 Map Description

The North Entrance leads to the Circulation/Reserve Desks. The Information Commons and Research Help Desk are centrally located through the hallway to the south. To the south are also Group Study Rooms, Library Classrooms, Writing Center, and Research Consultation Area. The Research & Instruction offices are beside the Research Help Desk, along with the Patent & Trademark Consultation Room. To the southwest are the IT Support Center Help Desk, Printers, Zoom Area, and Group Study Room.

The Center Stacks labeled A–G are shaped in an “S” curve and span the middle of the map. To the east of the stacks are Bound Periodicals and Microfilm; to the west are Lockers and Restrooms. North of the stacks is the Oakes Room. New/Popular Books are near the East Exit, and the Reserve Reading Room is in the southeast corner.


Level 1B Map Description

Map of Level 1b of Fogler Library, showing the lower level of the Center Stacks. Shelves labeled H to Z curve through the center of the space, starting at H in the southwest and ending at Z in the northwest. Bound periodicals are arranged alphabetically by title from Geochemistry International to Zygon. To the west of the stacks are the offices of Maine InfoNet. A stairwell on the west side connects to Level 1.


Level 2 Map Description

Map of Level 2 of Fogler Library. The main area contains books with call numbers K–Z arranged in curving stacks labeled K through Z, with adjacent study spaces throughout. Current Periodicals and the Presidents Room are in the center near the North Entrance. To the east are the Level 2 Reading Room and Restrooms. To the west are the Learning Materials Collection, Library Business Office, Dean of Libraries Office, and Salon.

Study rooms and various collections are labeled, including Detective Books, and the Jones and Stodder Rooms. Elevators and stairwells are shown on all sides.


Level 3 Map Description

This floor houses books with call numbers A–J, organized in curving stacks. Open study spaces are located near sections HF, HG, and HQ with individual study carrels located around the perimeter. Lockers are positioned along the F and E sections. The west side features Collection Services & Acquisitions and Cataloging & Metadata. The east side contains Special Collections and Government Publications. Restrooms and stairs are located on the east side, with elevators nearby.
