Workshop 2: Alternative Metrics to Gauge Scholarly Impact Online
Join the UMaine library to find out more about ways in which scholarly impact is evolving, how to use altmetrics to support applications for grants, promotion, and tenure, and where to find alternative metrics in UMaine resources.
Workshop 3: Managing Your Online Scholarly Presence through Google Scholar and ORCID
Learn how to optimize Google Scholar profiles to enhance your online scholarly presence. Discover what an ORCID identifier is and why you might want to have one. Engage in an open discussion of online identities and why one system may be a better fit than another.
Workshop 4: Self-Archiving in Digital Commons
Learn about self-archiving in UMaine’s open access, institutional repository, DigitalCommons@UMaine. Topics include copyright clearance, finding copyright permissions in SHERPA/RoMEO, and a demonstration of the data collection interface in DigitalCommons@UMaine.
